meaning of the name

in a Souls game, a bonfire is where you can rest, level up, and plan your journey.

bonfires are also landmarks, signaling a beginning, or an ending, of a region, an act, or an important event.

I am heavily influenced by Souls games, especially Elden Ring. The revolution in FromSoft games doesn’t just come from their concepts, but also their crazy good execution. But enough about the games, there will definitely be a post about them.

so basically, the blog’s name, between bonfires , is a poetic way of saying I am side-questing to strengthen up before milestones of my life.

there might not be many important milestones at all, or there might be no reflection point before a big milestone, but that’s just how life works, I guess. So I am very happy right now to have the time and enjoyment to write this blog.
